Mehr als 3.000 bei PubMed gelistete klinische Studien zeigen positive präventive und therapeutische Wirkungen von Omega-3-Fettsäuren bei zahlreichen Erkrankungen von Arteriosklerose über Depression bis zu Rheuma. Bei malignen Erkrankungen gibt es epidemiologische Studien, die eine signifikante krebspräventive Wirkung nahelegen. Es gibt zwar keine Studien, die nach Diagnosestellung unter Intervention mit Omega-3 eine Verlängerung der Lebenserwartung belegen, aber es existieren Hinweise auf Verbesserungen der Lebensqualität (insbesondere bei Fatigue) sowie auf eine Verminderung von Nebenwirkungen von Chemotherapie. Viele onkologische Patienten
nehmen bereits Nahrungsergänzungen, nicht wenige auch Omega-3. Positive Wirkungen sind aber nur dann zu erwarten, wenn Omega-3 in hoher Dosis und guter Qualität eingenommen wird. In diesem Vortrag werden neben den theoretischen Grundlagen und Studien auch praktische Tipps zur Therapie mit Omega-3 gegeben.
Geben Kühe, die nur Gras fressen, gesündere Milch? Der Anteil der ungesättigten Fettsäuren ist messbar höher. Diese sogenannten Omega-3-Fettsäuren sind für unsere Ernährung besonders wertvoll. As we continue with the part 3 of the supplements review we come to perhaps the most important of all…High Grade Omega-3s. I say the most important because omega-3’s exert the most powerful antiinflammatory effects on the body that any over the counter supplement can offer.
By controlling inflammation, you can literally put a stop to the progressive negative recovery that most athletes, bodybuilders and weight trainers find themselves in.
The only problem is, your body cannot make the omega-3s. They HAVE to be gotten either through your diet or supplementation. What compounds this even more is the fact that due to the fact that most people don’t eat enough fish to support their need (you’d have to eat up to 6 ounces a day for maximum benefits) 84% of people are chronically deficient….and it’s costing you in your attempts to build new muscle and recover from your workout.
